Going out tonight, and it should be cool. A bunch of my friends an I are
going to Legends in downtown Victoria. At least it won't be the carnage
that happened last week-end. In other news, with a monitor for Mike's
computer now, there are some funny things happening to the system that
cause it to crash after about 5 minutes of running. Life sucks!

Friday again rolls around, and I'm looking forward to another week-end of
homework. Oh well, at least there's the Jim Rose Circus coming to Vertigo
this week-end, should be a good time. In other news, in case you haven't
heard, there's a goo chance that the Bus drivers are going on strike. Which
sits well for me because it's the only way I can get to school. Check out
here for more info.

I had a most enjoyable reading break, pretty much doing homework, and not
much else. Although I did go out on Saturday, and had some fun with my
friends from the mainland. Things are getting better in my classes, my
Discrete Math assignment was abnormaly easy, I hope.
One thing though, I need to find a job, so if you have one for me in the
Victoria area, email me at
[email protected].

One day into reading break, (even though I still had class today : P ), and I've
almost caught up on most things. I still need to finish some homework, but I should
be able to go nuts this week-end. We're still waiting to get that monitor, and maybe
it's for the best that we don't have it right now, Team Fortress anyone?
15 February 1999
It seems that we'll be able to get a replacement monitor for Mike's computer, so I won't have to live in
the computer labs anymore. Yey! Yey! I am looking forward to reading break, I'll actually be able to
catch up in homework. Yey! Yey! And, after 2 months, I'm going to get my hair chopped. It's funny how you
can let some things go in replacement of others.

Things seem to be picking up again on the school front. I'm still having some problems in my Discrete
Math course, but everything else seems to be working out fine. I think that I'l be able to come out of
February on top of all my classes, and that's better news then I had going in.
10 February 1999
After a futile attempt to find my resume on Mike's computer, I finally found it on a disk, so I won't
have to try and find the addresses for references or anything. In other news, my new strategy for getting
more homework done seems to be working, and I feel better every day about my courses. Although today in
Calculus was fun with learning Integration by parts, boy will that make like easier for some things.
Anyways, I've posted my resume, it's here.

With about a month gone in the semester, I think back to the panic that I was in at this time, last
semester. I was terrified that I was going to screw up somewhere and I would have to re-take a course.
Well, I've managed to recapture that fear, and I can put it to good use. My lab work has been great until
now, but I need to be able to do more homework then I have, and I will be able to under my new plan.
Don't bother to try and contact me Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, for I will be either at school or
locked in my room.
5 February 1999
Thank goodness that the week-end is here. I'm just about burnt out for this week,
with three tests and a bunch of labs due. I'm going to spend the week-end relaxing
and doing homework that I wasn't able to this week. Finally got my marks confirmation in, and
I did well last semester with a 7.6 GPA.

Nothing really new today. I've been really sleepy lately, for some reason.
If you want to get on my list of people I forward weird and wonderful things
to, email me at [email protected].
I see that the Red Wings are finally on a roll, and things are starting to look up.
If you want a good chuckle, go to MS/DOJ
Trial. Boy is Microsoft in trouble.
3 February 1999
Well, things are starting to get better. The server has two drives now,
so it should be up and fully running in two weeks. On other news, I've
been working hard at the gym, so don't ask me to lift anything. Boy,
am I sore!
2 February 1999
Ugg, Math 126 (discrete math) has reared it's ugly head. My homework
assignment was bad, and I fear that my test today will be even worse. If
anyone reading this is in my class, I'm thinking about starting a study
group at about 12:30 on Wednesday afternoons. Talk to me in class and
we'll get something arranged.

I've done some changes here. The January News section is now linked at the left, making this
page smaller, and allowing room for expantion later.
This week-end, the server install went well, but I still need to work on it some. I'll
post the IP when it's all running great.
